$20 Rock! During our July 2001 trip to the Evans Creek Offroad Vehicle Area, Mike and I encountered this interesting rock challenge. The rock had just defeated a massively built Jeep type thing, and threatened to send him off the mountain shiny side down. After a prolonged winch rescue, the driver proclaimed $20 goes to anyone able to conquer the evil challenge. Having already borrowed $5 to pay my entrance fee to the park, and being pretty hard up for cash, the challenge seemed worthwhile. I was successful in my climb and earned $20. Afterwards, I filmed as others cleared the obstacle as well, and that footage is available here. As with all things it was more vicious in real-life. (About 3 Megs) |

November 2001 Moab Adventure! What's better than a short drive to Moab for a week of vacation-touring and fun. Kup, Monika, Billie, Tiger and I all visited Arches NP, Canyon-Lands NP, and of course the Moab foothills pictured here. Mike was kind enough to offer up his '96 4-Runner in sacrifice to our cause. He was proud to report no damage after the trip. Also featured on this video, the experience of riding down Lion's Back! (Here's what happened to the other guy...)
